How Can Your Major Make the World a Better Place


Hello fans!! Welcome to a new blog, today I'm going to talk about how my career affects the world.

From a current point of view, with the environmental crisis, one of the biggest concerns that someone in my career (architecture) has to have is not contribute to pollution with waste by demolishing buildings for create new ones.

For that, in the future I see myself creating new spaces in existing buildings, or revitalizing unused buildings, so that there is no pollution from demolitions. The point is to try to leave the smallest ecological footprint.

My career has the responsibility of being able to create new living spaces that do not contribute to the environmental crisis. They must be ecologically sustainable for the benefit of the world.

Who I am?

Hey! That's me. Hi everyone!  I'm Ignacio Osorio, a student of architecture in the Universidad de Chile. I'm from  the capital of Chile, Santiago, more especifically in the commune of La Granja. I lived in Santiago all my life. Me, literally thinking I'm batman. I like the sushi, lasagna and Taiwanese food, but  without animals, I'm a vegetarian since the beginning  of 2021.  Also I'm really into movies, recently I went to cinema to watch The Batman, where batman is Robert Pattinson, in my opinion his performance was perfect for the film. I live with my mom, grandma, my brother and two cousins. The neighborhood is not really interesting at all, but I like that most of the time it is quiet, except when the cops pass with the sirens turns on. See you on the next blog.

Is voting an important responsibility of a citizen? Hello everyone, today I'm going to talk about the question " Is voting an important responsibility of a citizen?" The answer is totally YES, voting is the moment when you can express your opinion about how is going to be the management of your country and this affects directly in many aspects of the all citizens lifes, like the education, health, social security, labor, etc. The right to vote ensures that your voice is heard, for that,   one thing that is equally or more important than voting, is getting informed, because if you don't know the topics what are you voting  one wrong decision could win. In my opinion, in all schools there should be civic education classes because this way, from a young age, they would learn how politics works and how important it's to be informed in order to vote.
